Serial Number

WARNING: The ZENIQ Hub will be delivered to you serialized, meaning that each ZENIQ Hub has a unique serial number. Do not share that number with others.

There are three ways to find your serial number:

  1. You can find the serial number on the identification card delivered to you together with your ZENIQ Hub. The serial number is a string of numbers and letters separated by a hyphen.
  2. After setting up your ZENIQ Hub properly, you will find your serial number under the menu item “settings – system information”
  3. The serial number can also be found on the package of the ZENIQ Hub.

Nature of Blockchain Related Products

ZENIQ is not liable for the loss of data or cryptoassets stored in ZENIQ Hubs. The ZENIQ Hub includes a storage wallet function. The level of security provided by the wallet depends on the strength and complexity of the user‘s password and its ability to keep the seed phrase safe. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that all data, content and information stored within the ZENIQ Hub remain protected and undisclosed to third parties.

Warnings

WARNING: Use only the included power supply adapter and line connection cable. Activate the power supply adapter only with the correct voltage. If you are not sure about the provision of electricity, check with your energy provider. Use of any other power supply adapter or line connection cable is not permitted.

  • The power supply adapter and the ZENIQ Hub are not waterproof and must be used in dry environments only (see IP20 specification).
  • Do not cover the power supply adapter or the ZENIQ Hub and keep it out of direct sun light to avoid damage or deformation caused by overheating.

 

WARNING: Risk of electrical shock from energy stored in the ZENIQ Hub and the power supply adapter. Do not open the protective cover. The product does not contain parts to be maintained.

  • Modifications to the device are not permitted, opening it and/or breaking the guarantee seal will render the warranty null and void.
  • To interrupt the power supply of your equipment, unplug the power supply adapter AFTER powering off your ZENIQ Hub. When unplugging it, always grip the adapter. Never pull the cable.

 

WARNING: Looking at a display or screen for extended periods of time may result in eye strain.

  • Do not expose the device to dripping water, spray water or any other kind of liquid that may enter your ZENIQ Hub.
  • Do not expose the device to magnetic fields or strong electric devices, such as motors, micro waves, sound speakers, etc. Air slots should not be covered or positioned incorrectly. This will ensure sufficient ventilation and, consequently, maximum life span.

Instructions for Use

Operate the ZENIQ Hub only within the limits of the conditions described below. The ZENIQ Hub has to be used indoors only. It is a device designed for use at home or in your office. When setting up the ZENIQ Hub for use:

  • Place the ZENIQ Hub on a hard, level surface.
  • Keep the ZENIQ Hub away from radiators and heat sources. Be sure to prevent exposure to heat (>45 °C), direct sunlight and other extreme conditions
  • Do not use the ZENIQ Hub if damaged (e.g. if it does not function properly or produces unusual noises or smells).
  • Keep the ZENIQ Hub away from wet environments. Never expose it to water (precipitation, etc.), other liquids, gels, dust or other particles – it is designed IP20. Prevent extreme humidity as well.

 

This product should NOT be used as a toy. Keep the ZENIQ Hub and the packaging material away from children and physically or mentally challenged persons as well as from animals near you.

Crush, fall, slip – during operation, protect the device from crush and fall. Position it on an even, solid, non-slippery and vibration-free surface. Do not move the device during operation.

Electrostatic discharge – the ZENIQ Hub is an electrostatic discharge-sensitive device. Protect the device from every kind of electrostatic discharge when you handle the touchscreen or plug the network cable. Make sure you are self-discharged when operating the ZENIQ Hub via touchscreen.

Disposal for WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

This product is to be collected separately. The following applies only to users in the European Union or in countries which follow its guidelines:

  • This product is designated for a separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of as household waste.
  • For more information, contact the local authorities in charge of waste management.
  • Devices marked with the WEEE logo are subject to the European Community Directive 2002/69/EC.
  • Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment must be separated from household waste and disposed of at sites that collect WEEE.
  • By disposing of WEEE in the designated way, you will prevent possible damage to the environment as well as to humans and animals.

3 WARRANTY

Warranty

Terms and Conditions

  1. The warranty only covers material defects and production defects of the hardware.
  2. Check the delivered goods immediately and before activating it for correctness, completeness and integrity. Damages must be reported at once.
  3. In case the product is clearly defective, the customer will have one of the following rights:
    • If the product has not been activated, the customer can request the defective product to be replaced with a non-defective product.
    • If the product has been activated and is therefore unfit for further use, the customer is entitled to a special discount of 50% off when purchasing a replacement product.
  4. If the damaged product is replaced with a new one, the warranty period of the replacement product shall be limited to the remainder of the original warranty.
  5. Damages that occur outside the requirements stated herein shall be excluded from the warranty.
  6. In any country, product warranty and customer support service terms will only apply if the product was purchased or imported through authorized distributors (i.e. sellers).
  7. Warranty does not cover any damage due to noncompliance with this user manual and/or misuse, improper handling, improper activation or use, damages by third parties, vandalism, accidents caused by excessive heat, inadequate ventilation, overvoltage, excessive or incorrect voltages, electrostatic discharges or defects of other devices directly or indirectly connected/related to the ZENIQ Hub or its environment it is operated in.
  8. Warranty shall not apply if the ZENIQ Hub has been manipulated or repaired by third parties not certified by ZENIQ.
  9. Warranty cannot be claimed if the device has been exposed to shock, electrostatic discharge, heat or humidity/water beyond the product specifications.
